LDU 179.1

The model LDU 179.1 is a very precise high-speed digital amplifier for weighing and force measurements with strain gauge (SG) sensors.

The LDU 179.1 can be used in legal for trade as well as for industrial applications.

The device features a CAN interface with support for the CANopen protocol as well as a full duplex RS232 interface using a straightforward ASCII command set.

The LDU 179.1 and the well known LDU 78.1, both use
nearly the same command set.
The LDU 179.1 with its accurate A to D converter and a sample rate of up to 1200 measurement values per second, is particularly suitable for static or dynamic measurements and control purposes.

Product qualities

Advanced analog and digital filters offer FIR or IIR performance.
Device output update rate of 1200 upd./sec (IIR) followed by an averaging filter.
Can drive 43 ohm load cells.

Dual logic outputs provide external control of actuators etc. or for internal computing. All set up parameters are available.
Signal conditioning, zero and tare operations convert the load cell output into the calibrated units (g; kg; lbs; etc.), as requested.
EMC compliance and surge protection are provided by shielding and T-filters at all pins.
The secured I/Os and protected power input withstand excessive actions. Power supply range is 10-30 Vdc.
Can be designed into customers’ PCB or bolted on the side a load cell.
The LDU fits with a selection of Unit Adaptors, offering many I/O facilities and mounting options.
